Seven previously unheard Bruce Springsteen records were released for the first time this past summer on the widely rumored and long-anticipated Tracks II: The Lost Albums, which arrived June 27 via Sony Music. Spanning 83 songs, The Lost Albums filled in rich chapters of Springsteen’s expansive career timeline and offered invaluable insight into his life and artistic evolution. “’The Lost Albums’ were full records, some of them even to the point of being mixed and not released,” Springsteen said at the time. “I’ve played this music to myself and often close friends for years now. I’m glad you finally got a chance to hear them. I hope you enjoy them.”
Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska was explored with more context and depth than ever before through the fall release of a five-disc box set featuring many never-before-heard and previously undiscovered recordings. Nebraska ’82: Expanded Edition, released on Oct. 17 by Sony Music, included The E Street Band’s fabled “Electric Nebraska” sessions, solo outtakes from the era, a newly shot performance film of Nebraska in its entirety, and a 2025 remaster of the original album. Together, the materials offered an unprecedented look into the sonic world of this improbable lo-fi masterpiece turned enduring Springsteen classic.
